Sponsor-Initiated Clinical Trials
Our Multidisciplinary Acute Care Clinical Research Organization (MACRO) provides resources, facilities, and professionally trained staff to clinical investigators from diverse specialties to conduct clinical research. We ensure timely enrollment, adherence to study protocols, accurate data collection, and close supervision of all aspects of clinical research, in addition to providing open communication between the department, clinical investigators, and study sponsors.

Clinical Trial Design and Coordination
Our CRISMA (Clinical Research, Investigation, and Systems Modeling of Acute illness) laboratory can provide consultative services for design of clinical trials and translational research. Individual investigators may also be contacted (see University of Pittsburgh Industry Relations Policy). CRISMA also serves as the data coordinating center for multiple federally funded and industry sponsored clinical trials.
