Dr. Xiaoyan Wen is a 1994 graduate of China Medical University in Shenyang. After Internal Medicine Residency at Qingdao Municipal Hospital in Shandong (North of Shanghai), she served as Chief Resident until 2004 in the Department of Nephrology and then moved to Pittsburgh. For three years she has been a pre-doc fellow in the Pitt Department of Pathology within Nephrology and Molecular Cell Biology. She has several published and submitted scientific papers from these years. Since October 2007, Dr. Wen is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in our Department of CCM, working with Dr. John Kellum on kidney injury problems. Her husband, a CPA, currently remains in China but both are seeking permanent residency in the US.
