Project Title:
Learning Patient-Specific Models from Clinical Data
Funding Agency:National Institutes of Health
Total Project Period:
Jan 24, 2005 – Jan 23, 2008
Principal Investigator:
Derek Angus, MD (sub award from Gregory F. Cooper, MD)
Co-Investigator(s):
Greg Cooper; Derek Angus; Don Yealy.
Project Summary:
This study addresses an important problem, i.e., modeling clinical data and predicting the disease or symptoms of individual patients. The main aim of this application is to develop a machine-learning algorithm that constructs patient-specific predictive models from clinical data. Such a model might improve the prediction accuracy when sample size is very large.
