Fellows learn crisis management skills in a complex, realistic setting. The use of a human simulator provides an exceptional environment for learning.

Real life scenarios give our trainees the opportunity to learn and make mistakes in an environment where:

Feedback is immediate
Performance can be repeated
Errors don’t cause consequences

As the computer-controlled scenario progresses, fellows learn to control crisis situations by directing team members to:

Check pulse rate and blood pressure
Attach a heart monitor
Apply oxygen therapy
Start artificial ventilation
Assure adequate ventilation and oxygenation
Identify unstable heart rhythms
Shock unstable heart rhythms

After completing training, fellows exhibit greater confidence in using the skills they have learned.
