WISER has reached a new milestone in being one of the first simulation centers in the country to obtain endorsement by the ASA. Such endorsement is granted to those programs which meet several rigid criteria. It is a tribute to the quality of the programs offered at WISER. Last academic year, WISER provided 12,000 training encounters in more than 90 different programs for some 3,500 health care professionals, including our CCM fellows. Although serving the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy, WISER was established by the Department of Anesthesiology and remains a component of that department.
