Dr. Alia Marie Dennis, served as a Pediatric CCM Fellow at CHP in the Department of CCM 2004 - 2007. Sponsored by the International Children's Heart Foundation, she then left for the Dominican Republic and is performing a much appreciated work caring for 5 - 25 children at a time. She quickly learned enough Spanish to communicate with these children, their parents and hospital personnel. She also has an agreement with CHP to work in its pediatric ICU 8 weeks per year and thus keep up her skills, knowledge and commitment by caring for critically ill children in her alma mater.
