Dr. Michael Power was a Pitt CCM Fellow 1997 - 1999 with outstanding performance. He returned to his native Ireland and currently serves as the ICU Director of Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. He is very active in the Intensive Care Society of Ireland (ICSI) and presently serves as the Society President. Recently the ICSI lobby group visited the Irish Deputy Prime Minister to discuss acute medicine problems of the Irish Health Care Policy. The attached photo shows Dr. Power with the ICSI lobby group outside the Government Buildings. Annual meetings of ICSI have included presentations by Pitt CCM Faculty members such as Dr. Michael Pinsky and Dr. John Kellum. The 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting will take place June 13 - 14 in Kinsale, Ireland.
