 Dr. David Muigai is a 1993 graduate of the University of Nairobi in Kenya. He completed his family medicine training at the McGill University in Montreal and then his internal medicine residency at the UPMC McKeesport. Dr. Muigai then served as a CCM Fellow in our Pitt Program from July 2005 through June 2007. Because of his excellent performance, he was unanimously elected Chief CCM Fellow for academic year 2006/07. He has been ABIM certified since 2005 and will be sitting for the CCM exam this year. Dr. Muigai has a keen interest in clinical work and loves teaching, including use of medical simulation at WISER. Because of his eminent qualifications, he was appointed Assistant Professor of CCM on July 1, 2007 and serves in our CTICU and SICU. Dr. Muigai has been accepted into the Physician Leadership Course scheduled for early 2008.
