Dr. Michael DeVita received the first Ake Grenvik Award for Simulation Education. As a special token of appreciation for his dedication to WISER, Dr. Phrampus introduced an annual Ake Grenvik WISER Award, prsenting the 2007 award to Michael DeVita, MD, for his excellent representation of WISER, locally and internationally, through his leading role in team training, prominence in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and initiating the annual Congress on Rapid Response Systems in hospitals worldwide.
