Dr. Juan Carlos Puyana has received a very flattering invitation from the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), a WHO Collaborating Center for Injury and Violence Prevention, Research and Training. INSP will host the 9th World Congress on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion to be held in Merida, Yucatan, March 15 - 18, 2008. The 2008 Congress is entitled "Globalization and Injury Prevention - Challenges and Opportunities". Because of Dr. Puyana's expertise in the Emergency Response, Trauma Care and Rehabilitation Theme, he has been invited to serve as a member of the Scientific Committee.
