The current issue of the Pitt University Times, March 22, 2007, presents a three-page report on the views of the incumbent John J. Baker, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology-Biochemistry, School of Dental Medicine, and Senate Vice President Michael R. Pinsky, Professor of Critical Care Medicine, Bioengineering and Anesthesiology, School of Medicine. The election will take place in April by electronic balloting. If elected, Dr. Pinsky will be the second CCM physician to hold this prominent position in this decade as Dr. Nicholas Bircher, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, served as president during 2003 - 2005.
