On March 29th, Dr. Mitchell P. Fink was the 2006 Zinner - Gelman Lecturer In Surgery and Anesthesia. He spoke on the topic “Ethyl Pyruvate, HMGB1 and Critical Illness.” This event was sponsored by Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Surgery and the Harvard Medical School in Boston.

On March 31st, Dr. Fink presented the Lester R. Dragstedt Visiting Professor Lecture entitled “Ethyl Pyruvate, HMGB1 and Critical Therapeutics, Inc.: A True Story.” This lecture was held during the 2006 Annual Research Day of the Department of Surgery, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.
